What a game!! FCB found a way to finish 2-1 against the 2020 UPSL National Champions. FCB went down 0-1 in the first half after a great cross from #12 – Esteban Garcia to #7 – Benji Omungu. FCB subbed in Angel Durate for Eric Hepp and dialed up the pressure on Atletico. The pressure paid off when Pablo Mejia slotted a pass through Atletico’s defense to Angel Durate where he beat the goalkeeper with a low shot to the right corner. In the 78th minute, Brother Swagler, took advantage of a poor defensive clearance and was able to score a low shot from outside of the penalty box! That goal ultimately became the winning goal for FC Birmingham. FCB has improved to 3-0 and will face the table leader AFC 615 (3-0) in Murfreesboro, TN Saturday, October 9th.
