COMPETITIVE PROGRAM OVERVIEW

Welcome to the FC Birmingham Competitive Program

Where potential meets reality. Our program is designed to prepare players for the next level of their soccer career, whether it be in college, semi-professional leagues, or beyond. We aim to provide a challenging and dynamic environment that fosters growth and excellence in soccer.

    • Pleasant Grove Athletic Complex Soccer Fields: 1100 4th Way, Pleasant Grove, AL 35127 (as needed)
    • Lawson Field Stadium: 5501 Oporto Madrid Blvd, Birmingham, AL 35210

    Joining the Competitive Program

    To become a part of our Competitive Program, players need to sign up annually. Our tryouts are held each year in mid-May, providing an opportunity for aspiring players to showcase their skills and passion for the game. If you missed the tryouts, don’t worry!     Competitive Readiness Checklist

    To ensure your readiness for our Competitive Program, consider the following criteria:

    • Previous Competitive Soccer Experience: Having prior experience in competitive soccer will ensure a smoother transition into our program.
    • Passion for the Game: We seek players who thoroughly enjoy playing soccer and have a genuine love for the sport.
    • Commitment to Skill Development: Our program is dedicated to honing players’ skills and techniques. We value individuals who are committed to continuous improvement.
    • Aspiring for Higher Levels: If you dream of playing professionally or in college, our Competitive Program is an ideal platform to prepare for those opportunities.
    • Competitive Spirit: Embracing challenges and having a competitive spirit is essential to excel in our program.
    • Parental Support: We believe in nurturing a supportive and encouraging environment. Players with the support of their parent(s) are better equipped for success.
    • Willingness to Travel: Our Competitive teams participate in regional and sometimes out-of-state games. Players should be open to travel opportunities.
