The mission of FC Birmingham is to provide a clear and real pathway for players to live their dream of playing soccer at the college or professional level by focusing not only on athletic success, but also personal development and academic achievement. FCB is more than a soccer club; it’s a movement that will change the way our city and our state thinks about soccer. We strive to inspire a passion for soccer and to grow and foster a robust, proud community (#FCBNation) around our shared love of the sport and support of our team.
Football Club of Birmingham Academy was formed in 2021 through a partnership through FC Birmingham (1st Team) and Birmingham City FC (AL). BCFC was formed in 2019 and has enjoyed many successes in a short amount of time: State Cup Finalist, Finalist in multiple competitions, top 5 finishes in league competitions, and Nationally ranked (source: SINC).
FCB Academy is not interested in being the largest soccer club, we are focused on being The Premier Club. That means we are focused on development and maximizing exposure for our players. Our goal is to prepare each player for the professional and/or collegiate pathway to not only advance their careers but instill what it takes to succeed at life and business. We believe players develop at different rates, which we have a philosophy that a player 16 & older is eligible to be called up to train and play with the First team to increase the challenge a hundredfold.
