About FC Birmingham Academy

Our Mission & Vision

The mission of FC Birmingham is to provide a clear and real pathway for players to live their dream of playing soccer at the college or professional level. This is achieved by focusing on not only athletic success but also personal development and academic achievement. FC Birmingham is more than just a soccer club; it’s a movement aimed at transforming how our city and state perceive soccer. We strive to inspire a passion for soccer and to grow a robust, proud community (#FCBNation) around our shared love of the sport and support for our team.

Our History

Football Club of Birmingham Academy was formed in 2021 through a partnership with FC Birmingham (1st Team) and Birmingham City FC (AL). Established in 2019, BCFC has quickly achieved numerous successes, including being a State Cup Finalist, a finalist in multiple competitions, achieving top 5 finishes in league competitions, and earning a national ranking (source: SINC).

The Opportunity

FC Birmingham Academy is dedicated not to becoming the largest soccer club, but The Premier Club. This dedication is evident in our focus on player development and maximizing exposure for our athletes. Our goal is to prepare each player for the professional and/or collegiate pathway, not only to advance their careers but to instill the values necessary for success in life and business. We believe in the varied pace of player development, with a philosophy that players aged 16 and older are eligible to train and play with the First Team, thereby significantly increasing their challenge and growth.
