Jason Neuman Steps Down as Head Coach of FC Birmingham Women: A New Era Begins
Women’s Soccer Tryouts 2025: Farewell to Jason Neuman
FC Birmingham Women announce the departure of Jason Neuman as Head Coach. Over the past two seasons, Jason has done wonders for the program. He brought a level of professionalism that transformed the team into a respected club within the WPSL. We wish Jason the best of luck in his future endeavors.
Welcoming New Leadership
With Jason stepping down, we are excited to introduce Doug Walk as the Interim Head Coach and Frankie Brasher as the Assistant Coach. Doug recently led the U23 Men’s team this past fall, while Frankie coached the Girls’ U19 team. Both coaches bring decades of experience and a strong background in player development.
Embracing the Future
Doug and Frankie are eager to lead FC Birmingham Women into a new era. They are particularly excited about the upcoming Women’s Soccer Tryouts 2025, scheduled for January 4 at Lily Field. As we prepare for a great season, Doug expressed his commitment, saying, “Our goal is to ensure the ladies end the season better than when they started. We want them to leave fitter, stronger, smarter, and energized.”
Frankie added, “Women players are really smart on the field, and we will challenge their tactical knowledge while bringing a level of physicality to their game as well.” Both coaches are dedicated to making FC Birmingham Women a top-tier program in the region and challenging for the crown in our division.
